The amazing work of Alaffia and their mission to empower impoverished areas of Africa through sustainable fair trade practices was first introduced to me at the Village Volunteers office. I immediately went out and bought several of their products, and now I am proud to say that Sustainable Bebe will be offering them to you!
All of Alaffia's beautiful products are 100% natural with no petroleum or parabens. The shea butter and the other raw Alaffia ingredients are harvested in a sustainable manner from wild trees grown without any pesticides in West Africa. Their shea butter products are the only moisturizer that I trust to use on my baby's extra-sensitive skin (which cannot even handle Cetaphil), and it can even be used on the sensitive diaper area.
And Mommy will love these products too! As all mommies know, frequent handwashing can leave our skin dry and cracked. To alleviate dry skin try the rose-geranium hand and body balm. Your skin will drink it up. I even use a little shea butter on my hair when it is particularly unruly!
